The roles we hire for
Our stores are staffed by small teams, so most people cover a mix of the following rather than a single narrow role:
- Retail consultant (budtender) — serving customers, explaining formats and labelling, checking identification, operating the point of sale
- Inventory associate — receiving deliveries, reconciling stock against provincial reporting requirements, keeping the online menu accurate
- Shift lead and store manager — scheduling, cash handling, compliance checks, supporting the team on the floor
What you need before you start
Everyone working in a licensed cannabis retail store in British Columbia must be 19 or older and hold a valid Selling It Right certificate, which is the province's mandatory training on responsible sales and identification checks. Store staff also require a provincial security verification. If you do not have these yet, say so when you apply — they are straightforward to obtain and we will point you at the right process.
